Leftovers overrun by Mutiny in OT
The Leftovers were looking to get back on track after a poor showing vs
the River Pirates but that didn't happen...
Bad passing and a lack of hustle led to a slow start(surprising right?)
for the Leftovers. The Mutiny scored with 3:20 and 2:57 to go in the 1st
to put the Leftovers down by 2.
The Leftovers woke up in the 2nd and started the comeback. Scott "Pre-gaming"
McGuire scored his 16th of the year half way into the period to cut the
deficit to 1. Nate "Van Winkle" Bonde scored on a 2-man advantage
to even the game.
Dean Evenson scored the go ahead goal with 8:18 to go in the game. The
Mutiny struck back a minute later and the game went to OT. Four Leftovers
failed to get a skate, shin, or stick on a point shot in OT, you can guess
what happened after that...
Game Notes:
The Leftovers gained a point for going to OT... The team is 1-2-1 in the
last 4, can you say slide???
January 22, 2012
River Pirates 5, Leftovers 2
Since no one showed up on the ice there's nothing to really say about
the game.

Leftovers shake off bad game and drop
Venom 5-0
The Venom controled play for the 1st few shifts with Jason "I video
tape everything" Bleistein making some key saves. "Jubilant"
Jim Buccellato picked up a rebound and put the Leftovers up 1-0 with 2:17
to go in the 1st. 20 seconds later, Scott McGuire put in another rebound
for the 2 goal lead.
Dean Evenson made friends with a former teammate in the 2nd while Dave
Waldock's centering pass was put in for a 3 goal Leftovers lead.
Nate "van winkle" Bonde took a breakout pass from Waldock and
despite the huge coefficient of drag created by his beard, skated the
length of the ice and beat the goalie high glove hand. McGuire scored
his 2nd of the night with 6:43 to go in the game.
Game Notes:
The Leftovers outshot the Venom 34-21 with Bleistein recording his 2nd
shutout of the season... Most of the bench saw Chicky's triple salchow
in the 2nd... Judges gave him a 8.5 but points were deducted for landing
on his hip... Ryan Guritz made his 2nd game of the year, he should be
in mid-season form come playoffs...

Chiefs score 4 in the 3rd to hand C1 Leftovers
their 1st loss
Goals by Jim Buccellato in the 1st and Chicky Stimac in the 2nd put the
Leftovers up 2-0 before the collapse. Four goals in the last 12 minutes
brought a quick end to the Leftovers perfect season.

Leftovers thump Gators 10-2
I know this is gonna sound stupid but the game was closer that in the
10-2 score, just bear with me. Jeff "welcome back" Wetterlind
scored on his 5th rebound attempt in the his 1st shift of the season coming
back from a bicep injury. Scott "B2 here I come" McGuire scored
on a wrap around shortly after getting planted behind the Gator's net.
On the next shift, the Gator's set a new record by hitting 2 posts and
2 wide open nets in 15 seconds. Dean "Carlester Crumpler" Evenson
goal mouth feed was put into the net for the 3-0 lead at 8:19 of the 1st.
Goals from Jeff "Gump" Killian and Jim "Hey You!!!!!"
Buccellato rounded out the scoring in the 1st and Jason "don't spray
me" Bleistein took 2 PIMs.
Wetterlind scored his 2nd of the night at 8:52, this time with only one
shot. 2 goals by the Gators in the last 3 minutes cut the Leftovers lead
to a paltry 5 goals.
The Leftovers kept throwing pucks on the net in the 3rd with McGuire,
Evenson, and Chicky all finding the net.
Game Notes:
Final total for the Gators, 5 posts, 6 missed open nets, and 1 own goal...
Dean "Louganis" Evenson took a half-gainer somewhere around
the 5 minute mark of the 2nd... Bleistein made 26 saves on 28 shots...

Bleistein slams the door in 1-0 win
Another game, another team we've never faced (in the regular season anyway).
Leading scorer Scott McGuire was a scratch, but the team still managed
to out-shoot the Rack Attack 14-11 in the 1st and some Jason Bleistein
heroics kept the game scoreless.
"Jubilant" Jim Buccellato hit the crossbar twice and "Heeyyyy"
Kyle Bauer held the Leftovers off the board until Brian "Farmboy"
Goldenman put in a rebound with :17 to go in the 2nd.
Early in the 3rd, the Leftovers killed off back to back penalties by Mean
Dean Evenson and Chicky Stimac. The team pinned the Rack Attack in their
zone for most remaining time.
Game Notes: Bleistein stopped all 24 shots for his 1st shutout of the
year... Nelly and Bonde resisted the urge to take some PIMs... Does anyone
know the whereabouts of Ryan Guritz??? Scott McGuire flew to NYC to add
to the Irish population there...
Also, just a rumor but this may have been the C1 squad's 100th victory
all time...
November 27, 2011
Leftovers tally 6 in 1st, coast to win.
The Leftovers scored often and then some in the 1st 17 minutes vs the
Royals. "Jubilant" Jim Buccellato, Chicky Stimac and Scott "B2
Bound" McGuire and Anders "Write Ups" Larson scored for the Leftovers
while sub goalie and ex-rival Rob Jones stopped all 7 shots faced.
Goals by the Royals bookended a Leftovers marker in the 2nd. McGuire added
2 more to round out the hatty while Jim didn't celebrate his 2nd of the
night and the team's 10th.
Game Notes:
Davo Waldock's 2 assists on the night put him 1 point ahead of Ryan "MIA"
Guritz for the Leftovers all time lead... Sub goalie Rob Jones stopped
20 of 22 shots...
November 20, 2011
Chicky and McGuire power Leftovers past
Wild
Facing off against the Wild for the 1st time(not including playoffs) the
team was put on the powerplay just :45 into the game. Gregg "F@*!"
Myren's point shot was stopped but Chicky Stimac's rebound shot hit the
net at 14:26 for his 2nd of the year. The Leftovers couldn't get the puck
out of their end and the score was tied at 9:34. Once again on the PP
"inappropriate" Jim hit McGuire with a one timer for the 2-1
lead.
With the game tied at 2 in the 2nd things started to get a little ugly
with 7 penalties called between the teams. McGuire scored a powerplay
goal at 8:38 and a shorty at 2:48 to put the team up by 2.
Chicky scored his 2nd of the night also on the PP at 15:17 of the 3rd
for the 5-3 lead. A late goal by the Wild was called from the corner by
Heckle with two players in front of him and the puck on the goal line.
Game Notes:
Jason Bleistein made a breakaway save just :10 into the game... Mike "Gold
Gloves" Nelson was asked to dance in the 2nd by the Wild's #77, he
politely declined... Brent "I likey wingy" Hanson defended his
goalie durring a scum... The team scored 4 on the pp and 1 shorthanded...
November 13, 2011
Leftovers at 3-0 with win over the F'n
Ps
The Leftovers fired early and often on the opponent's goalie, but it was
the F'n Ps that struck first with 5:32 to go in the opening period.
Jason "turn that music down!!!" Bleistein made some key saves
while the team was unable to get anything going on the power play. One
of the oddest plays in team history resulted in the score being tied at
1. Dean Evenson's shot deflected off of an F'n P's helmet and bounced
past the goalie at 9:08 of the 2nd. Nelly put in Davo "I'm 40, big
whoop, wanna fight about it?" Waldock's shot at 7:32. Davo scored
one of his own with his patented breakaway backhander :15 later
A tired Leftovers team weathered the storm in the 3rd including a late
powerplay and hung on for the 3-2 win.
Bleistein logged 3 hours in net in for the B2/C1 teams... Mark "White
Tiger" Cochrane is the early front runner for the Norris trophy thanks
to a dominate game on D... Chicky refused to get dirty with any of his
former teammates... The team scored 3 goals over a 2 minute span in the
2nd, could be a record but then again who has the time to look at old
stats from an adult rec league right?
November 6, 2011
Leftovers off to 2-0 start with 6-3 win over Hogs
Dean Evenson scored just :28 into the game but the Hogs tied it up just
over a minute later. Brent "Beans" Hanson truffle shuffled his
way up the ice and hit Scott "Summit" McGuire with a nice pass
to go up 2-1.
Nelly tipped in Jake "I'm a ref, wwhhheeee!!!" Dotray's point
shot for the 3-2 lead at 16:28. After a turn over in the Hogs zone Nate
Bonde beat the goalie at 10:20 of the 3rd. Evenson added another at 9:34
for the 5-2 lead. The Hogs scored at 8:45 to make it a game but the Leftovers
ran out the remaining time for the 6-3 win.
Jason "Keepin' it PC" Bleistein made 17 saves including 2 shorthanded
breakaways in the 2nd... Nate Bonde took 6 pims to go with his goal...

C1 Leftovers win opener 7-2 vs Mutiny
The Leftovers spent most of the 1st screwing around with the puck while
Scott "Non Summit" McGuire traded goals with the Mutiny.
"Inappropriate" Jim sniped the Mutiny goalie top shelf for the
3-2 lead at 9:32 of the 2nd while Nelly took 2 PIMs and is off and running
in that category.
The 3rd period saw Jason "my laces match my jersey!!!" Blestein
make some key saves while goals from Chicky, Jim, McGuire, and "Head
1st into the boards" Dean sunk the Mutiny.
Bleistein turned aside all shots faced from Beans and that D-Bag ref...
The Leftovers combined on 10 different flavors of wings after the game...
